This week saw the annual visit of Ricky, Chris, Sonny and Jay from Kent who enjoyed a good weeks fishing as usual, not sure of the fish count for the week but in the region of 20 fish or so. Few big cats to over 50lb for Sonny and carp to mid 30's for Ricky, Jay and Chris. Think Rick was top rod again but correct me if i'm wrong boys !Nice to see you all again looking so well and as usual enjoying your break and drinking a few beers for good measure !!. Hope you had a good trip back home and see you all soon, Fred & Danny
After an un eventful first few days we managed to catch steadily during the rest of the week ending up with 18 carps to 47lb and 3 catfish one of which was so huge we were unable to weigh it with our reuben heaton as they bottomed out at 60lb but we guess it was well over 80lb. All our fish came from swim 1 and 3 and were caught on mainline cell fishing slow singers over the tops 'orange'. Had a fantasitic week and really did enjoy it and the carp are all in excellent condition and do they fight !!. Facilities ok, caravan a little basic but clean and tidy, local shops in the village but 5 kms to the big super market at Romorantin. This lake is really a lake for the expirenced angler not really a runs water but the rewards are there for those that put in the effortThanks once again for all your help and could not recommend this lake highly enough be back as soon as possible.. George and Jan Bushall from lowestoft..
