First up this year saw the visit of Rob & Steve who enjoyed a good weeks fishing, both broke their PB's twice in the first 3 days and ended up with 29 fish between them. Rob took the biggest fish of the week being a superb 41lb mirror along with 7 other noticeable carp from 22lb to 35lb and 3 cats from 8lb & 24lb. Steve had 6 * 20's to 29lb.11oz along with other fish between 11lb and 18lb

Very cold in the mornings but was warming up a little after dinner. Fishing slow most nights but did have a few odd fish during the night one of them being a 49lb catfish which I must say gave us the fright of our lives when at the net. The 3 of us had a memorable week at etang des mearult and we can not recommend this lake highly enough, great for the money and well be back. Fishmeals and a fruity hook bait doing the business for us. Superb host in Fred, Peter & Tracey.

Facilities spot on, lake very private & very very carpie, fishing tops mid morning to late evening. We slept in the caravan most nights and were more than comfortable. We caught 18 fish during our stay with a few lost due to our inadequate tackle as the fish in here a monsters. Lake filling up nicely and coming back again late September, can't wait

Fishing spot on and very good facilities. Between the two of us we caught 106 carp & cats ranging from 12lb to 48lb far to many to list but some super conditioned fish and very hard fighting all the way to the net.

This lake comes very highly recommended the facilities are excellent and the lake is fantastic. We have been coming to France now for over 10 years and lake mearult is most definitely the best value for money that we have found. My wife Carol caught a new personal best, a magnificent 39llb.05oz superbly conditioned mirror. In total My Wife, my 12 year old son and I caught over 140 fish mainly carp and the rest being the superb catfish which inhabit this superb lake. Best catfish was a superb 64 pounder which christ knows how long it took me to land.

Weather great, facilities very good with plenty to do locally. The lake is very beautiful in wonderful surroundings. We enjoyed a prolific two weeks fishing split with some days out having a look around, great place to come if like me you bring the wife and kids along with you, very highly recommended. We caught far to many fish to list but the best fish of our two week stay was a mirror carp of 47 1/2 pound we also had 7 & 30's one of these being a 37lb.05oz fully scaled mirror and around 15 or so 20's and some great cats to 44lb.

Great venue and super hosts, lake very productive with fish being caught day and night, cats better at night but also many taken during the day. Best fish of the week was a 58lb catfish and a 54lb mirror carp all on Isotonics. Boat a big plus and pretty much home from home. Be back for another bash soon.

Action packed week loads of big cats we had 7 twenties 6 thirties 4 forties and a giant 59lb monster, We had over 70 carp between us ranging from 14lb to 46lb.08oz and really super lake and very good facilities, highly recommended.

Had superb weather during our stay with the temperature up in the 90's most of the time. Much to do locally with loads to keep the kids occupied. Facilities are very good here and caravan is lovely. The fishing was very good with my husband Gary fishing most nights, his total for our stay was 89 fish carp & catfish. Biggest fish of the week was a huge Catfish of 68lb.05oz along with some other big ones of 50 & 40 lbs best carp of the week was a 47lb.07oz common. This is a superb venue to take the wife and kids on holiday with you to France.

Very hot during the days and being a little cooler at night time. really enjoyed our stay with all there of us breaking our PB's. Must warn you that the fish in here fight like nothing that I've ever experienced before and are in immaculate condition. far to many fish to list but the best three fish of our stay were a Mirror of 45lb {Pete} a 59lb.07oz catfish {Chris} and another catfish of 56lb {Ben} loads of 20's several 30's and another 41lb.09oz carp for Ben, excellent venue all round.

Thanks for a terrific week had a super time although we did get to tired to fish after Thursday night blinding venue with tip top condition fish. All fish were caught on Nutrabaits TRIGGER. Top carp of the week was a 47lb.08oz mirror along with several 30's and two other 40's of 44lb and 45lb.09oz plenty of cats from 15lb to upper 30's wasn't really after the cats but they love the big Trigger's we also topped up with about 30 kilo's of mais.

Although the fishing was slow the weather was very kind to us, we did manage to catch 24 fish between the both of us 8 of which were over 20lb and 2 * 30's which went 35lb.04oz and 37lb.02oz the best fish of the week was a nice 40lb.05oz mirror which gave the most incredible fight. We also had a few cats to just over 30lb truly awesome.
